Glitch Text Generator
Make a message look like a corrupted signal. Pick one of four glitch styles, press Regenerate until you like the result, and copy it as plain Unicode text for a bio, a username, a caption or a chat. It runs entirely in your browser, so nothing you type is sent to a server.
Marks piled on every letter
Why This Tool Matters
A glitch effect is a quick way to give a title, handle or caption a digital-decay feel without opening an image editor. Think of a synthwave artist's bio, a cyberpunk game clan tag, a poster headline mocked up in a chat, or a Halloween post that should look like the feed is malfunctioning. Because the output is text, it can go where an image cannot: a profile name field, a comment, a message to a friend.
The four styles are meant to be used for different jobs. Light glitch is the one to try first when readability matters, since only about half the letters get a single stray mark. Heavy glitch is for headlines you can only just read. Stacked echo repeats each letter with offset marks, which gives a ghosted, double-exposure look, and Static sprinkles block characters between the letters like interference on an old display.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from the Zalgo text generator?
Both use Unicode combining marks, but they aim at different things. The Zalgo page lets you control intensity and which directions get marks, so you can build one tall, chaotic effect. This page gives you four ready-made looks, including repeated letters and block-symbol static that Zalgo does not use. Pick Zalgo for fine control and glitch for a quick, distinct style.
What do the four glitch styles do?
Light glitch adds a single stray mark to roughly half the letters. Heavy glitch stacks several marks above, through and below every letter. Stacked echo writes each letter two or three times, each copy nudged by its own mark. Static scatters block and box symbols such as ░ ▒ ▓ █ between letters and adds a few marks.
Is this an animated image or a CSS effect?
No. The result is ordinary copy-and-paste Unicode text, made of letters, combining marks and block symbols. It does not move, flicker or change colour, and you will not get an image or any code to embed. If you need real animation you would need CSS or a video editor; this is text that survives pasting into other apps.
Where can I paste glitch text?
Anywhere that accepts Unicode: most social profiles, chat apps, comments and documents. Some sites strip or limit combining marks, and some fonts do not have the block symbols, so a style can look different from the preview. If it breaks somewhere, try Light glitch or Stacked echo, which use fewer marks.
Will glitch text work with screen readers?
Poorly. Assistive software may read out each mark or symbol, or skip them unpredictably, so the message can become hard to follow. Treat glitch text as decoration and keep anything important, like names, contact details or instructions, in plain text.
Does the page store or upload what I type?
No. The glitching is done by JavaScript in your browser and your text never leaves your device. It is not saved, so reloading the page resets it.
