Will this remove script or style tags along with their content, or just the tags?
It removes the entire block — the opening tag, the closing tag, and everything in between. Script and style content is code, not text, so leaving it behind as stray JavaScript or CSS would make the output messier, not cleaner. Every other tag only has the tag itself stripped; the text inside it is kept.
Does this work on a full HTML document or just a snippet?
Both. You can paste a small snippet like a single paragraph, or an entire page source including a doctype, head, and body — the tool strips tags wherever they appear and returns whatever readable text is left.
What happens to links — do I lose the URL, just the tag?
You lose the URL. An <a href="…"> tag is removed along with its href attribute, and only the visible link text between the opening and closing tags is kept. If you need the URLs too, copy them separately before running the tool.
Is there a size limit for how much HTML I can paste?
No hard-coded limit. The conversion runs entirely in your browser, so it comfortably handles anything from a short snippet to a full page of exported HTML.
Does this decode entities like &amp; and &nbsp; back into normal characters?
Yes, by default — the "Decode HTML entities" option turns &amp; back into &, &nbsp; into a regular space, &lt; and &gt; back into < and >, and so on for the rest of the standard set. Turn that option off if you specifically want the raw entity codes left as-is instead of converted back to their characters.
